Welcome to Ristorante Zanfa Bros

Via Pisana, 82 R, 50143 Firenze FI, Italy

General Info

Tucked along Via Pisana in Florence, Ristorante Zanfa Bros is the kind of restaurant you stumble upon and immediately feel glad you did. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed, making it an easy place to slow down, enjoy good food, and actually hear your conversation. The quiet setting works well whether you’re stopping by for a laid-back dinner, a casual drink, or a dessert break after exploring the city.

Walking in, the first thing that stood out to me was the warm welcome and the small Entrè Di Benvenuto that arrived shortly after sitting down. It’s a thoughtful touch that sets the tone for the meal. From there, the menu moves through a balanced mix of dishes that highlight both flavor and presentation without feeling overly complicated.

One dish that truly impressed me was the Arrosto Di Tonno. The tuna was cooked beautifully-tender, flavorful, and well-seasoned. It’s the kind of plate that feels refined but still comforting. If you’re browsing reviews before choosing what to order, this dish is definitely worth considering. Pairing it with a cold beer works surprisingly well, especially if you’re visiting on a warm Florence evening.

Dessert, however, is where this restaurant really shines. If you enjoy sweets, you’ll want to save room. The Tiramisù is classic and balanced, with just the right amount of coffee flavor and creamy texture. The Cheesecake Basco offers something different-rich, slightly caramelized on top, and incredibly smooth inside. And then there’s the Babà, which adds a traditional touch with its soft texture and sweet, syrupy finish. It’s easy to see why great dessert options are one of the highlights people mention when talking about this place.

Another aspect that makes the experience comfortable is the welcoming environment. The restaurant is LGBTQ+ friendly, and the overall vibe feels inclusive and easygoing. It’s the type of place where both locals and travelers seem equally at home. Practical details also make visiting easier, like the availability of a free parking lot nearby-something that can be surprisingly helpful in Florence.

Location-wise, Via Pisana gives the restaurant a slightly quieter feel compared to more tourist-heavy areas. That means you can actually relax, enjoy your meal, and take your time exploring the menu. The combination of good food, thoughtful service, and a calm setting creates an experience that feels genuine rather than overly polished.

After spending an evening here, it’s easy to understand why diners speak positively about their visits. Between the welcoming atmosphere, standout desserts, and dishes like the Arrosto Di Tonno, this Florence restaurant delivers an experience that feels both memorable and comfortably authentic.

What customers say?

“ We just arrived to Florence yesterday and wanted a nice meal with a traditional home made pizza, they did not disappoint. We even received complimentary appetizers. Waitress was very patient with our lack of Italian Language and was very kind and polite. We both had the pizza and were absolutely full and content. After we ate our waitress asked if we would enjoy a complimentary alcohol limoncello, it was amazing. Highly recommend! ”

“ This is a very special place. By far, this was our best meal in Florence. The pizza was spectacular, the best in our 3 trips to Italy. The wine was incredible and the dessert (pane, burro e marmellata and tiramisu) was mind-blowing. Go. Now. ”

- Brendan McGuire -

“ This place was completely empty during prime dinner hour at around 8:30pm and we hesitated to walk in, but I’m soo glad we decided to do so. This was the best meal we had in Italy so far. Seems like the place recently opened, but it will no doubt become a popular spot pretty soon. The real challenge for the owners will be whether they can keep up the food quality and customer service once they have long queues outside their door! ”

- John Wu -

“ Best meal we had in Florence and we've been to Florence 3 times. We were on our honeymoon and the staff treated us to a glass of Prosecco each to say congratulations. The food was absolutely incredible- that tuna Pizzas were excellent. Cocktails were yummy. Staff were so attentive and friendly, service was great! ”

“ We had our dinner tonight at Zanfa Bros. We just wanted a good pizza. Well, the pizza was excellent. As a neapolitan my standards are pretty high in fact of pizza but I have not been disappointed. After our dinner I have found out the owners are actually two young Neapolitans. The service was good too. Fast and punctual. Everything was done in a perfect time. Francesca who was our waitress was great, but we have also appreciated the kindness of Vincenzo. Prices are fair as well There is a friendly atmosphere so I suggest anyone to go and visit them. ”

“ My friends and I had a delicious dinner here on Friday evening. The ambiance was great, the food was even better and the service was impeccable. Our waitress Francesca was really knowledge and recommended some amazing dishes for us. Will definitely be back! ”

- Matt Rajczi -

“ Amazing tiramisu and great service. Good proper tiramisu I think. Can recommend. And really nice ambience especially in the evening, and it’s not busy. But service fee is insanely high so only go if you’re going to properly eat not just one thing ”

“ This little hidden gem of a pizza place felt more like a high-end, trendy, but unpretentious restaurant, and the photos I'd seen beforehand didn't do it justice. Really friendly staff and amazing pizza! ”
